HOW TO FIND YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE

MANY PEOPLE GO THROUGH LIFE without ever finding their purpose. They may have a job, a family, and friends, but they feel like something is missing. If you don't know what your purpose is, how can you live a fulfilling life?

The first step to finding your purpose is to recognize that you already have one.

“I chose you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart before you were born. I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jer 1: 5 (CSB)

There is no need to search to and fro for your purpose; you only have to position yourself in God’s will and ease into it. Before you were ever conceived, God knew you and chose you for a specific purpose and assignment.

The way to position for purpose is to align yourself with His plans and His ways. He will send people and resources your way to help you fine-tune and sharpen your focus. Don’t resist growth and challenges. They all shape you into fulfilling your purpose.

Don’t chase after purpose - position for it!

Everyone has unique talents and abilities that they can use to make a difference in the world. It's up to you to find out what your talents are and how you can use them to help others.

Once you've identified your talents, start thinking about how you can use them to make a difference. What problems do you see in the world that you could help solve?

What needs do you see that you could fill?

Who can you partner with and when will you take the first step?

Remember the story of Esther, the young lady who became queen? In a turbulent and life-threatening situation, Mordecai challenged Queen Esther to step up, show up, and speak up against injustice. She didn’t have to do it but she was in a position to make a difference.

As you start thinking about ways to make an impact in our world, your purpose will begin to take shape.

From climate change to parenting; to solving problems through entrepreneurship; to maybe boosting global health, you are equipped to make a difference.

PURPOSE TALK:

Who knows? Maybe you were made queen for just such a time as this.” (Esther 4:14, MSG). Are you walking in your purpose? Share your thoughts.
